ResumeUp is currently a free public beta. No payments are processed and no charges are made for any feature. Service may change, break, or be unavailable without notice. Pricing shown elsewhere on this site is planned future pricing — it is not currently in effect. The Service is provided "as is" with no warranties.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ResumeUp ("Service", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

Description of Service

ResumeUp is an AI-powered resume building service that helps users create ATS-optimized resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles. Our service includes:

  • AI-generated resume content optimized for applicant tracking systems
  • Cover letter writing services
  • LinkedIn profile optimization
  • ATS compatibility scoring
  • Free ATS scanning tool

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information about your work experience, education, and skills
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Not upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or copy our AI models or algorithms
  • Review and verify all AI-generated content before using it in job applications
  • Take full responsibility for the accuracy of your final resume

Important: You are responsible for ensuring all information in your resume is truthful and accurate. ResumeUp generates content based on the information you provide, but does not verify its accuracy.

Pricing and Payment

During public beta, all features are free. No payment is collected and no payment processor is integrated. The pricing tiers shown on marketing pages reflect planned launch pricing only:

  • Resume Only: $29 (planned)
  • Cover Letter Only: $19 (planned)
  • Job Switcher Kit (Resume + Cover Letter + LinkedIn): $49 (planned)

Planned pricing may change. We will update these Terms and provide notice before any pricing takes effect. You will not be charged unless you affirmatively complete a checkout flow that has not yet been implemented.

Refund Policy

No refund policy applies during beta because no payments are collected. A refund policy will be published alongside paid plans before any pricing takes effect.

Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the information you provide. The resume content we generate for you is yours to use as you see fit.

Our Service: The ResumeUp platform, including our website design, branding, AI models, and algorithms, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our Service without permission.

Disclaimers and Limitations

NO GUARANTEE OF EMPLOYMENT

ResumeUp is a resume writing tool. We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. Success in job searching depends on many factors beyond resume quality.

AI-GENERATED CONTENT

Our Service uses AI to generate resume content. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before use.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We strive to provide uninterrupted service but do not guarantee that our Service will be available at all times. We may suspend or discontinue the Service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the AI-generated content
  • Unauthorized access to your data
  • Any other matter relating to the Service

Data Retention

During beta, generated resume content is held in volatile server memory only and is lost whenever the server restarts. There is no database persistence and no defined retention window. If you want to keep a copy of your output, download or copy it before closing the page. A formal retention policy will be published when persistent storage is added.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the new Terms.
